englands finest

Talking about coppers, i personally have no time for them, around 1959 my mates sister was raped by two of England's finest in the back of a black maria, she never reported it because who would believe a young cockney girl over two police officers, another time i watched three detectives kick in my uncles door to arrest my cousin, they pushed my other cousin, a young 12yr old girl to the ground who was holding her baby brother, stepping on her as they rushed in, they didn't find my cousin so they arrested my uncle instead.[my cousin was wanted for breach of bail]. they are not much better here either,
my son came home laughing one night, i asked him why, he said that a copper had hurt his hand on his belt buckle when he punched him in the stomach,he said that happens all the time, he was 14 at the time. there's a lot more i could say about them but the forum's not big enough. :-x
I forgot to mention, they arrested my dad once suspecting him of picking pockets, they locked him in e cell and refused to give him his nitroglycerin tablets when he had a heart attack,
luckily he survived.

They're all terrible stories but I have to say, there are good coppers as well as those who think the uniform gives them licence to do as they please. I'm still shocked when I see the gun bearing aussie cops :-O

don't get me wrong, I've met some really nice honest ones, but they are few and far between, mind you where would we be without them, honest or not.

i think there are good and bad in every walk of life , but they can be an arrogant bunch of people , and to be honest i resent an 18 years old telling me what to do .
i remember my husband picking me up from work id worked a night shift at the local hospital ,he had 2 very small children in the car with him , we were pulled over and they wanted to search the car, i was still in uniform the children in their pyjamas and it was 7.30 in the morning , they made us wait on the pavement whilst they searched every inch of our car,of course nothing was found but their attitude was terrible.

I've always been treated well by the police if out driving and pulled up for some reason. I did hear some hairy stories though from someone which later proved to be likely to be true. And the media like to fasten on to stories of police intrigue and corruption. One, here, recently got off from murder charges, I think because of incompetent handling of the investigation.
