We can get caraway seeds quite easily in Switzerland. they sell them in all supermarkets - are used a lot for various flavoured backeries. There is also an Indian variation, called jeera by the Indians, or cumin. The taste is slightly different and used in nearly all curries.

At last finished reading Deutschstunde (was a heavy one) by Siegfried Lenz and am now reading The Ghost by Robert Harris
